South-West Conference Extends Official Fundraising Partnership with Hometown, Driving Over $350K Raised

WESTON, CT - Mar 30, 2026 —  The South-West Conference has renewed its partnership with Hometown to continue using Schoolfundr as its official fundraising platform. The extension reinforces the conference’s commitment to providing schools with a simple, fee-free solution that helps student programs raise more while keeping more of the money they earn.

Since first adopting Schoolfundr in December 2024, schools across the South-West Conference have launched nearly 75 fundraisers, generating over $350K in funds raised to support athletics, student activities, and school programs. By eliminating platform fees, the partnership has helped conference schools retain nearly $70,000 that would otherwise have been lost to traditional fundraising costs.

Schoolfundr, Hometown’s fee-free online fundraising solution, enables schools and student groups to raise money through simple, mobile-friendly campaigns that can be launched in minutes. The platform includes real-time progress tracking, transparent reporting, and secure payment processing, all designed to make fundraising easier for students, parents, and administrators.

“At Masuk High School, we are always looking for fundraising opportunities that maximize the impact of every dollar our community gives, that’s why we chose Schoolfundr,” said Steven Swensen, Principal at Masuk High School. “Unlike many traditional fundraising platforms that take a significant percentage of donations, Schoolfundr allows our school to keep ~97% of the funds raised, ensuring that nearly every contribution directly supports our students and school programs. Their optional tip model keeps costs low for schools and allows our community’s generosity to go further in supporting the projects that matter most.”

Donors are invited to leave an optional tip to support Schoolfundr’s fee-free model, allowing the South-West Conference schools to keep 100% of the funds they raise, minus standard credit card processing fees.

“Schoolfundr has delivered meaningful value by helping our schools keep more of every dollar they raise,” said Mark Berkowitz, Co-Commissioner of the South-West Conference and President of the Connecticut Association of Athletic Directors. “Continuing this partnership means our schools can keep building on that impact.”

The renewed partnership ensures that schools across the South-West Conference will continue to have access to a fundraising platform designed specifically for education-based programs, helping teams, clubs, and organizations reach their goals more efficiently while keeping more money in their communities.

“We’re proud to continue our partnership with the South-West Conference and support the incredible work their schools are doing,” said Dennis Levene, CEO of Hometown. “Schoolfundr was built to remove barriers and help student programs raise the funds they need without sacrificing a portion of their hard-earned support.”
