Train gate workers around two weeks before the event. The Gate App Guide has resources to share with them.
One staff member per 350 guests. Ticket purchase numbers are viewable in the Box Office to help with planning.
If you're offering ticket sales at the gate, it's helpful to have those fans in a separate line. For example, create one line for just scanning tickets bought online, and one gate for point of sale transactions. Also, it's recommended to have at least one gate worker working each line.
Check weekly for software and app updates, and keep equipment fully charged and updated before each event.
Hang QR code posters at all gates (multiple per gate), use sandwich boards or A-Frames with QR codes at each entrance, and promote advance purchases via social media. The Hometown Box Out integration lets you create graphics quickly.
Use the ‘Share Event’ button in the Hometown Box Office to post to social media or copy a shareable link.
Typically 1–2 weeks before the event gives enough time to advertise.
A great way to incentivize students is to spark a friendly competition, and what better time than the end of the school year. Here are some ideas that have worked for other teams:
- Pie the coach — the student who raises the most gets to pie the coach or teacher in the face
- Practice pass — the top text blast fundraiser gets a day off from practice or conditioning
- Team movie day — if the whole team hits their collective goal, cancel practice and throw a movie day
The key is mixing small, low-cost rewards with big, memorable moments that make students excited to go above and beyond.

Season Ticket Renewals & Season Pass FAQ
Offering renewals on your reserved season tickets simply allows fans who purchased a season ticket package last year to have first access to the same seats this year, before sales are open to the public.
Giving previous ticket holders priority access to their seats before the general public encourages fans to continue supporting the program year after year and can also help increase concession, program, and merchandise sales.
Our Hometown Customer Success Team will work with you to gather your season ticket holder’s renewal information like name, seating assignments, email, etc. and then send an email to them before they go on sale to the general public.
Choose a renewal period, usually 1-2 weeks during the summer beginning on a Monday. You'll also want to choose a date to begin public sales. On this date, all seats left over after the renewal period will be available to the public.
Take a campaign-style approach by creating a daily or weekly countdown on social media to build anticipation and boost awareness for upcoming season ticket renewals.Additionally, consider using email reminders, in-game announcements, website banners, and direct outreach to past season ticket holders to maximize visibility and encourage renewals.
About a month before the first event.
Absolutely. Season passes are a great way to encourage community buy in, excitement, and increase revenue earlier in the season.
On the Box Office platform, season passes are ideal for general admission environments. If you're providing any type of reserved seating, we recommend offering season tickets. Remember, you can offer both types at the same time for fans to choose.
