NEW YORK, NY – June 29, 2026 —The BIG EAST Conference has extended its digital ticketing partnership with Hometown, keeping Box Office as the conference's ticketing solution for Olympic sports championships across its 11 member institutions. The three-year extension builds on a successful partnership launched in 2024, through which the BIG EAST Conference sold more than 9,000 tickets across several Olympic Sport championship events.
Founded in 1979 and headquartered in New York City, the BIG EAST Conference is home to more than 3,800 student-athletes competing in 22 sports across some of the nation's most prominent academic institutions, including Butler, UConn, Creighton, DePaul, Georgetown, Marquette, Providence, St. John's, Seton Hall, Villanova, and Xavier.
Box Office gives the BIG EAST's Olympic sport championship events secure, mobile-friendly, and cashless ticketing so fans spend less time in line and more time watching their teams compete. Real-time sales reporting helps conference administrators track revenue as it comes in, and integrated payment processing reduces the manual reconciliation work that follows every event.
The renewal extends Hometown's role across the BIG EAST's Olympic sports championships, providing a consistent, streamlined ticketing experience for student-athletes, families, and fans at events spanning men’s and women’s soccer, swimming and diving, softball and more.
“We needed a ticketing partner that could handle the scale and pace of our championship season across multiple sports and venues, specifically neutral site venues. Hometown has been that partner since 2024, and extending it for our Olympic events was a natural next step,” said Chris Schneider, Executive Associate Commissioner, Sport Administration and Championships at the BIG EAST Conference. ”The ticketing process is smoother, the data is more accessible, and the level of support we've received has exceeded our expectations.”
“The BIG EAST sets a high standard for how they run their championship events, and we're proud to be the partner they count on to deliver,” said Dennis Levene, CEO of Hometown. “From the first championship we powered together in 2024, the goal has been simple: make the experience better for everyone who walks through the gate.”
