SAN ANTONIO, TX - September 22, 2026 — North East Independent School District (North East ISD) has committed to continuing its exclusive partnership with Hometown, signing a three-year extension that keeps Box Office as the district's official ticketing solution across all campuses through June 2029.
The extension builds on a successful partnership that began in 2023, during which NEISD sold more than 1.5 million tickets across its athletic programs. The district has also found success with Schoolfundr, Hometown's fee-free fundraising solution, running 40 fundraisers to date that have kept more money in the hands of students and their programs.
As part of the renewed agreement, NEISD will expand its use of Box Office beyond athletics to include fine arts and community events, giving administrators, fine arts directors, and athletic directors a consistent, district-wide approach to event management. Box Office provides secure, mobile-friendly, and cashless ticketing, and connects to the industry's best point-of-sale equipment to keep gate entry quick at every campus. At the same time, real-time sales reporting and integrated payment processing give administrators visibility into revenue and reduce the manual work that comes after every event.
The decision to extend and expand reflects the district's confidence in a trusted partner that has delivered results since day one. By bringing all ticketed events under one partner, NEISD simplifies operations and ensures every campus benefits from the same modern event experience.
"The fan experience matters to us. Box Office gives our community a fast, seamless way to get into events, and it gives our staff the tools to manage those events without added complexity," said Jay Govan III, the Executive Director of Athletics at North East ISD. "Expanding into fine arts and community events means we can bring that same standard to every program in the district."
"What sets Hometown apart is the service. The technology works the way it should, but it's the people behind it that made renewing our partnership an easy decision. Hometown Box Office has simplified how we manage events, and our administrators and gate staff appreciate how intuitive it is," Govan continued.
"We're honored to continue our exclusive partnership with North East ISD," said Dennis Levene, CEO of Hometown. "North East ISD's decision to expand across fine arts and community events shows what happens when a district and its partner grow together. With hundreds of thousands of tickets sold each year and a team that sets a high standard for the fan experience, North East ISD is a model for what modern event management looks like at the district level."
By renewing its exclusive partnership with Hometown, NEISD joins a growing number of Texas districts choosing a modern, streamlined approach to managing events across athletics, fine arts, and community programs. To learn more about Hometown or schedule a demo, visit hometown.com.
