DES MOINES, IA – July 23, 2026 — The Iowa High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) has renewed its partnership with Hometown as the Official Digital Ticketing provider for the association's boys postseason athletic events across the state. The IHSAA also announces that its organization will absorb all Hometown fees associated with tickets purchased through Hometown for all IHSAA postseason events (exclusive of Co-ed events).
Since 2021, the partnership has facilitated the sale of over 2.3 million tickets across championship events statewide. The extended agreement, running through 2031, reinforces both organizations' commitment to supporting Iowa's student-athletes and the millions of fans who rely on IHSAA championships as cornerstones of their communities. Through this extension, Hometown remains an important partner for IHSAA to provide the best experience possible for the thousands of student athletes competing and the millions of Iowans supporting them in the championships each year.
Hometown’s Box Office solution provides secure, mobile-friendly, and cashless ticketing, along with real-time sales reporting and integrated payment processing. With customizable branding and community-focused features, the platform helps IHSAA celebrate Iowa student-athletes while streamlining event operations and reducing administrative burden. This approach strengthens fan engagement and deepens community connections to local high school athletics.
“Our partnership with Hometown has helped modernize and streamline how we manage ticketing across our events,” said Tom Keating, Executive Director of IHSAA. “Their Box Office solution provides the reliability, efficiency, and ease of use our schools and communities expect, and we’re excited to continue building on that success together. And, by IHSAA absorbing any Hometown fees, the price of the ticket reflects exactly what fans will pay.”
“We’re proud to continue our partnership with the Iowa High School Athletic Association,” said Dennis Levene, CEO of Hometown. “IHSAA plays a vital role in supporting student-athletes and communities across the state, and we’re honored to provide a ticketing solution that helps simplify operations while creating a better experience for fans.”
Through this continued partnership, IHSAA will maintain a unified, digital-first approach to ticketing for its boys postseason athletic events, ensuring consistency and accessibility at its championship events.
